Hammered Dulcimer - Reggie Greenlaw

Filed under: Podcast, Music, Audio recordings — Scott Redd @ 1:13 am

Musican Reggie Greenlaw played the hammered dulcimer, a percussively played stringed instrument at the 2005 Nebraska Renaissance Faire.

Mr. Greenlaw was very open to allowing me to record him play Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring by J. S. Bach, and afterward, talked a few minutes about his own experiences with digital recording. He also talked a little about the mechanics and qualities of his instrument, and how this ancient instrument has changed to make use of modern engineering and materials.

If you like Mr. Greenlaw’s music, please contact him at reggreenlaw@aol.com and order a CD.

Listen to the MP3

Note that my mic cable malfunctioned during this recording, and as a result, the recording is not in stereo.
